It’s been a pretty incredible year for Lazarus Naturals following the release of our very first CBD-infused edibles. We worked hard throughout 2021 to bring three utterly separate product lines of all-new edibles to our loving fans, including our award-winning Fruit Tarts, our CBD Dark Chocolate made in partnership with Ranger Chocolate, and our latest (and by far most requested) product line of CBD Gummies.
However, what might not be immediately apparent is that we put a lot of thought into choosing each of these edible offerings. As a company that puts the utmost value on product efficiency, approachability, and affordability, we needed to ensure that each product covered a specific use case and flavor/effects profile without sacrificing quality or experiencing too much overlap. There are plenty of reasons someone might choose one of our products over another—for example, not everyone likes chocolate (shocking, we know)—but this article will take a close inspection of our infused edibles and break down which product works best for what, and when (and why) you might choose one over another.
Flavors & personal preferences
This one is pretty obvious but essential. We mentioned it above: not everyone likes chocolate—and that’s okay! Not everyone wants gummies, and some people really don’t like sour tarts, so it was important for our earliest edibles to encompass a wide range of flavors and product experiences. So whether you’re craving some sweet CBD gummies, CBD-infused tarts, or just some good, old-fashioned, semi-sweet CBD chocolate, we’re confident that one of the Lazarus Naturals edibles is going to satisfy you.
Measuring convenience
Highly potent, efficient, and accessible CBD is the cornerstone of all Lazarus Naturals offerings. These qualities certainly shine through our new CBD-infused edibles, but there are a few key differences to consider:
The Lazarus Naturals CBD Chocolate Bar is a rich and delicious treat that is sure to be a winner heading into the winter months. But chocolates are, of course, also vulnerable to melting in the wrong conditions, and in some cases (maybe when you’re wearing a fancy dress—or a brightly colored suit?), these dark chocolate delights might be the last thing you’re looking for!
Alternatively, our CBD Fruit Tarts are packaged in an easily pocketed tin, making them excellent for portability and on-the-go consumption. These are about as quick and simple as they come, and there’s no sacrifice to quality or flavor!
And as for our CBD Gummies, each flavor also comes in a similarly convenient package. However, we have also designed each of our gummies with specific use-cases in mind (with supporting active ingredients catered toward each targeted application!)—but we’ll get into that in more detail below.
Full spectrum hemp extract vs. CBD isolate
Each of our CBD-infused edibles is made using one of two different methods for CBD extraction: either a full spectrum hemp extract—which contains not just CBD but also trace amounts of other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other hemp-derived compounds—or our CBD isolate, which (due to the removal of all other hemp plant compounds) is a tasteless and otherwise pure CBD experience. Depending on your personal preferences, use case, and what you are hoping to get from our CBD-infused edibles, you should consider which method of CBD extraction will best fit your purposes.
In addition to plant terpenes and flavonoids, full spectrum extracts tend to carry trace amounts of other cannabinoids, including THC, CBN, and CBG—these additions can undoubtedly amplify the benefits of CBD. Alternatively, the upside to choosing CBD isolate is that you can experience the powerful wellness benefits of CBD while maintaining 100% certainty that you won’t be exposed to any of the hemp plant’s (extremely minimal) psychoactive properties.

Edibles price breakdown (per mg of CBD)
Unfortunately, CBD prices pose a significant pain point for many folks. But if you’ve been following Lazarus Naturals for even a little bit of time, you should know that we believe high-quality CBD should never be gated behind prohibitively high prices.
We’ve worked hard to maintain this philosophy through each one of our edible offerings. Not only are our prices extremely competitive with industry standards, but, in most cases, we’re blowing the competition out of the water!
Here is the price-per-mg of CBD for each of our edible offerings:
- CBD Chocolate Bar: $0.06 per mg of CBD
- CBD Fruit Tarts: $0.02 per mg of CBD
- CBD Gummies: $0.04 per mg of CBD
The role of supporting/secondary active ingredients
As is typically the case with CBD and other beneficial cannabinoids, there are myriad benefits and use cases for all of the infused edibles by Lazarus Naturals. But all year, we have emphasized fortifying the wellness benefits of our latest CBD product lines with additional active ingredients.
Our CBD Chocolate Bar, for example, is made using antioxidant-rich dark chocolate and with only organic (and vegan!) ingredients.
Additionally, as was mentioned above, each of our four different flavors of CBD Gummies was individually crafted for a specific use-case using all-natural, secondary active ingredients:
- The CBD Calm Gummies are perfect for on-the-go relief from daily tension and anxiety at any given point on any given day. We augment the benefits of CBD here with natural stress relief compounds, including the amino acid L-theanine (found commonly in green tea leaves) and the adaptogenic herb ashwagandha.
- Our Elderberry CBD Gummies are designed to help make maintaining one’s health as easy (and delicious!) as possible. For this product, we are supporting the wellness benefits of CBD with immune-boosting vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
- Our blackberry-flavored CBD Energy Gummies, meanwhile, is infused with caffeine, L-theanine, and vitamin B12 to give you a balanced boost of energy without any jitteriness or discomfort. These gummies are also made with our CBD isolate, so you’re sidestepping any of the other potential effects from hemp.
- Lastly, the Cannabinoid Sleep Gummies from Lazarus Naturals contain a unique blend of full spectrum CBD, CBG, and CBN extracts which we crafted to promote restful sleep. We also accompany these cannabinoids with secondary active ingredients, including lemon balm, passionflower, and chamomile flower extract, which combine to produce a genuinely sleep-forward experience!
