At Lazarus Naturals we offer two varieties of CBD, Full Spectrum and Isolate. Learn more on the differences between the two and which may better suit your needs. We also offer two different potencies in our products - High Potency and Standard Potency. Lazarus Naturals products labeled as “High Potency” contain 50 miligrams of CBD per one serving, while our “Standard Potency” products contain 20 - 25 miligrams of CBD per serving.
SELECTING THE RIGHT POTENCY
Before selecting potency, it’s important to consider the kind of relief you’re seeking. If you are recovering from an injury and have localized pain, for example, you may choose a topical product that targets that area, such as balm, lotion or massage oil. If you are looking for general relaxation or relief, however, a tincture or softgel product may be more appropriate. If you have gourmet inclinations, opting for isolate or oil provides similar benefits as tinctures and softgels, with an extra dose of creative freedom. Once you have an idea of what product(s) will provide the support you need, you’ll want to select the potency that is compatible with your lifestyle and unique physiology. Due to the wide range of use-cases for CBD, appropriate serving sizes can vary widely. Your ideal serving size and potency is dependent upon your body weight, metabolism, individual body chemistry, and other metabolic factors. In a recent poll, we asked our Customers what potency they prefer when taking our CBD products and why. High Potency was the overall winner, with the top reasons being that customers experienced better overall relief of discomfort and they got more bang for their buck. Customers who reported using Standard Potency said that it is ideal for those who are sensitive to CBD and/or THC and also for beginners who are looking to find that perfect serving size.
SERVING SIZE
We cannot make specific recommendations regarding what serving size is right for you, but it is advisable to start with a small serving of CBD (i.e. 50 mg once a day) and gradually increase until the desired effects are achieved. Whether you are a first time CBD user or if it’s already a part of your daily routine, the golden rule is to start with the smallest serving that provides noticeable effects. From there, the serving size and frequency can be incrementally adjusted until the desired results are achieved. While CBD is not associated with harmful side effects, if you experience any unpleasant reactions, please decrease your serving size and/or potency. As with any other supplement, talk to your health care provider before using CBD to ensure it is the right option for you, as there is potential for interactions with certain medications, such as those with grapefruit warnings. Below you’ll find the potency options for each of our product types and recommendations for integrating them into your daily routine.
TINCTURES
Lazarus Naturals' CBD oil tinctures provide a variety of cannabinoid profiles and potency. They can be taken on their own or with food or drink, allowing the user the highest degree of flexibility with regards to their unique metabolism, tolerance and preferred method of intake. They also provide fast absorption of CBD, providing rapid relief, often within 15-30 minutes.
Lazarus Naturals tinctures labeled as “High Potency” contain 50 miligrams of CBD per one mililiter, while our “Standard Potency” tinctures contain 20 miligrams CBD per one mililiter. Our full spectrum products are specially crafted to maintain and preserve the full suite of naturally occurring phytocannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes in the hemp plant in addition to CBD. This suite of compounds, including trace amounts of THC, has potential synergistic benefits commonly known as the Entourage Effect. The THC in our full spectrum products will always be below the federally mandated limit of less than 0.3% by dry weight. While our full spectrum products are standardized to specific CBD potencies, due to the natural variation of plant extracts, the levels of other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids may fluctuate from batch to batch. We also provide THC-free tinctures that are isolate-based, meaning they contain only the isolated CBD and/ or CBG molecule(s) and will also have no detectable THC. This may be your preference if you are sensitive to the effects of THC.
CAPSULES AND SOFTGELS
Lazarus Naturals capsules and softgels products provide a similar range of potency options, including full spectrum and THC-free in 25 mg and 50 mg serving sizes. The encapsulated nature of these products allows for bypassing of preliminary digestive processes to ensure efficient delivery and prolonged activation of your endocannabinoid system. Capsules and softgels are easily integrated into your daily routine and the high level of serving size precision reduces the need for daily serving calculations, making these an ideal choice for first time CBD users. If you are looking for immediate results, however, please be aware that the gradual release of encapsulated products leads to more subtle onset of relief and usually take at least 30 minutes to become noticeable. Our Energy and Relaxation blends are formulated with additional functional ingredients such as Caffeine, Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, and Vitamins B-12 and B-6 to further contribute to your holistic wellness. We also provide terpene-infused 100 mg and 200 mg serving size options from our flagship line Cycling Frog.
TOPICALS
Lazarus Naturals topical products are crafted to provide all the benefits of Full Spectrum CBD while directly targeting localized muscular and dermatological concerns. Since the CBD is absorbed through the skin, the onset of benefits is gradual relative to our capsule and tincture products. In the meantime, users can expect nourished and moisturized skin. Our lotions (50 mg/teaspoon) and massage oils (50 mg/tablespoon) are ideal for general hydration and daily skin support while providing medium and low potency servings of CBD, respectively. Our balms are formulated with 50 mg/ ½ teaspoon and contain permeation enhancers to increase the rate of absorption. Given the higher potency and more efficient delivery, balms are recommended for joint and muscle recovery while also providing relief for areas of extreme dryness. Please be aware that the balms contain beeswax so if strictly vegan ingredients are a priority, we suggest a lotion or massage oil.
COCONUT OIL, RSO AND ISOLATES
Lazarus Naturals CBD Coconut Oil contains 50 mg/teaspoon and only two ingredients, which are Certified Organic! This is ideal for individuals who prioritize product purity and versatility. This oil can be used as a topical or edible and is ideal for supplementing your favorite recipes or skincare routines. Similarly, Lazarus Naturals Isolate and RSO products are popular options for integrating CBD directly into your diet. Our CBD and CBG isolates are over 98% pure, THC-free, incredibly versatile and compatible with a wide variety of carrier oils. Given the high potency of CBD, we recommend this product to consumers who are familiar with formulations, dilutions and their optimal serving size.
